Search records

The search tool is available on top of the listing. If you have preliminarily selected your team and inventory, these parameters are automaticaly filtered.

From your team Inventory Listing:

  1. Click Add new filter in the Search panel
  2. Pick an option to add the new filter
  3. Enter the value of the parameter or select it into the list. You can add multiple values. The records are automatically filtered in the listing.

Add as many parameters as wanted. Click the trash on the right to remove filter(s).

The search function from your Team Inventory Listing will apply to your records only.

To search into the public records shared by other teams, go to Homepage on top of the left menu and click on LIMS. No Team filter will be applied.

Search by QR/bar code

If you have used the label editing from StockInLab, a QR/bar code was automatically printed in the label. The QR/bar code allow you to simply access the details of your record.

  1. Click Add new filter in the Search panel
  2. Select Samples QRCode
  3. Type the sample ID or use the webcam to scan the QRCode.

Additional filters

In Inventory Listing several options to tick are available on the top to facilitate the readability of the table:

  • Tick Include empty to see the records from your inventory with empty stock.
  • Tick My reservation to see your reserved records.
  • Tick Expired date to check if you have expired records in your inventory.
    • Tick Expired IRB to check if you have clinical samples with expired IRB in your inventory.
  • Tick Draft records to access the list of the records saved as draft.
  • Tick Only Public to see the records from your team’s listing set as public.
  • Tick Without reservation to see only unreserved records.

Draft records

Draft records are records with no location entered. To add the location:

  1. Go to the View of the record
  2. Click Add location in the panel Locations
  3. Pick the location and save.

Search into public records

  1. Go to Homepage on top of the left menu
  2. Select LIMS
  3. Follow the steps described in the section multi-parameter search to search into the public records.

Only the global parameters can be used for this search.
